Morag Sinclair CEO STF Group

I have used a wide range of consultants over the years for various projects/tasks and have found Laura to be the best I have come across for her marketing skills and organisational planning to move the project forward quickly.

I am very happy with the service Laura has provided. Our Technical Manager is an essential part of the organisation, and the success of it relies significantly on his business skills capabilities being increased to match his technical ability. Laura has imparted that knowledge to him successfully and in a way where he is confident in the ownership of sales and marketing for the business. I would highly recommend her.

Rebecca Haack, Up Front Solutions

RPL had the experience of private sector PR and marketing alongside a strong understanding and experience of social enterprises.

RPL worked with UPFS to comprehensively assess and further develop our pr and marketing strategy – specifically covering store zoning and consumer engagement within the store, launch plan and ongoing campaigns to drive forward footfall, sales and quality donations – including a strong focus on use of social media.

RPL surpassed expectations and achieved a high quality of ideas and structure.  RPL has enabled us with the PR and marketing tools to further ‘hit’ our brand and drive forward our business through sophisticated marketing planning.  Given we have limited staff resources, the value of RPL’s input is significant as we would not of been able to develop and progress current ideas and strategies without RPL.

Thanks, this is great and your input to date has been flawless!

“Thank you for your input, which has been very helpful – and just to award Laura a gold star, she has been tremendous. Would recommend her to anyone!” (Maggie Broadley, WKCIL)

CEiS utilized Laura Molloy to deliver a marketing plan for one of our clients on the aspire to enterprise programme. This is a programme of business development support we deliver on behalf of the Scottish Government. Laura was able to respond quickly to our request to deliver a marketing plan for the client. Laura met with the client and developed the plan with the client through participative development sessions which led to a quick understanding of the organization and their needs and a comprehensive marketing plan that the organization is currently using to help them develop their growing business. The assignment was delivered in a very professional and empathetic way. Laura was able to represent CEiS and the aspire to enterprise programme for the organization and delivered the consultancy support swiftly and beyond the remit of the brief by bringing her knowledge of branding and marketing to the benefit of the client. We are now using Laura’s skills as an associate consultant of CEiS on another tender that she assisted us to secure.

Elaine Hamilton, Project Director, Hello Scotland Ltd

The first meeting with you here in the office gave us a chance as a team to catch up with each other and discuss the best way to generate sales. It was very beneficial to have you there as an independent pair of eyes and ears to give us suggestions and feedback on our ideas and show us where we could be doing things in a better way. The main problem area we identified from this initial session was that our database had to be as up to date as possible in order for us to target our clients in the correct way. Since that date, we have worked together as a team to update the online database and correctly segment our clients into new customers, existing customers and potential customers. Fir

As we are selling a service rather than a product, it would be hard to measure any immediate impact on the business, as a project can take anything from 4 weeks to 12 months to confirm and sometimes there are a variety of factors involved that we can’t influence (Other countries being considered etc) but for me, the main benefit of working with RPL is that we now have a clear focus and timeline plan of how to approach our clients and we have broken the huge topic of “Sales” down into bite sized chunks that are less intimidating for the team.

Sharing knowledge has also been an advantage and when a telephone sales call to a client doesn’t go so well, the team can discuss what could have been better and improve on the next call. Next stage is targeting past customers and potential new customers who may be coming to Glasgow in November for the HIV Conference – things are going well so far with a new request arriving in yesterday for a group of 80 people! Thanks for all your help so far – looking forward to the next stage!

Lynne Foster Director PoLR web design and internet marketing

Being from a technical background I wasn’t too great at selling myself or my company in networking situations. Having a recent change of structure in the company meant that I was going to have to take on the role as salesperson for the company and I needed training to help me gain confidence and tips to manage this effectively.

Why did you specifically engage RPL?

I met Laura through a networking event and her manner and confidence (and hearing her do her elevator pitch) gave me confidence that she would be able to deliver what she promised”

What were the most and least effective areas within the content?

Having the workbook to refer back to was a fantastic idea and the fact it felt tailored to me and my needs.

What impact, if any, has it had?

Since training with RPL I have been in several instances where I have had to do an elevator pitch. It definitely gave me confidence and the knowledge to prepare better beforehand.

Lisa Robin Marketing Assistant PoLR

RPL was fantastic because it was one on one not too pressured and offered an all round friendly atmosphere which I found to be conducive in getting the most out of the training. I found the simple actionable processes that I left with to be most helpful. I picked up practical applicable knowledge which I know will help me immediately in my professional role. First of all I am going to collate together a marketing list from which to work from and I am going to use the steps I learnt from the training to take me from initial contact to sales appointment. I feel the training was thorough and extremely valuable in terms of the new knowledge I left with. I thoroughly enjoyed my training with Laura Molloy from RPL, it was clear from the outset that she was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the field and that I was going to benefit and leave having acquired valuable new skills. The best aspect about the training was that I not only learned the theory but I learned the processes that I needed to help me clearly plan for and achieve my objectives. Laura was patient, interesting and had put together a detailed yet concise training course.

Laura Molloy has had an impact on our organisation by being able to quickly and seamlessly react to our clients needs and deliver assignments on behalf of CEiS in a manner that is befitting to CEiS. Laura works with the organisations and quickly understands their methods of working and what is required from them. This work then helps the social enterprises she works with deliver their services in a professional and business focussed way. This helps them to understand the business environment they a\re working in and gives them the confidence to deliver on the aims of their marketing strategies. The organisations that Laura has worked with on behalf of CEiS have been impressed with her approach to the work. Her understanding, very quickly of what their organisation does and how they operate and has delivered quality work that has allowed the organisation to develop their services. CEiS asked Laura to work with one of our social enterprise clients, West Kilbride Community Initiative to produce a marketing plan for the proposed conversion of the Barony. Laura delivered the marketing plan as per the brief. This involved a number of 1-2-1 sessions with the client to develop their understanding and ownership of the plan. In addition to a marketing strategy, the plan was very practical in the level of detail and direction given, which should make it easier for the client to implement.

Marjorie Torrance Director Valentina Silver

The whole day was hugely useful for me. I had no understanding of these things which really are key to my prospects of achieving my objectives for the business. The day was well tailored to my needs, very well presented and the relatively informal style was perfect for me! I have already used some of the very basic ideas we talked about (like, offering some older items of stock for sale!!) and feel so much more confident about the jewllery and my chances of success as a result. Thanks so very much.
