RPL meet clients free of charge for up to ½ a day to discuss your requirements. You will then receive a detailed proposal including costs, timescales and outputs. Services are supplied either as a fixed cost basis for the delivery of set outcomes. Client’s can also engage RPL as a cost effective sales and marketing resource based upon a set number of days per month on an ongoing basis.

Funding

RPL is a registered trainer across 8 Local Authorities. You may be eligible for up to 50% rebate on training costs. Eligibility criteria is outlined for each Local Authority below. RPL will assist you in any funding application. Client’s must apply to the Local Authority they are based in. RPL will assist you in any application for up to 50% grant towards RPL training

East Renfrewshire Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? All manufacturing companies. Service companies providing added value to the Renfrewshire economy and generate at least 30% of their turnover from outwith the wider Renfrewshire area. Companies in this category must provide evidence to this effect in the form of a letter from their accountant/auditor.

Who is not? Retail businesses are not eligible for support under this programme.

Glasgow City Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? Companies must be operating from business premises in Glasgow. Generate more than 50% of turnover from manufacturing or generate more than 50% turnover from outwith Glasgow.

Who is not? Retail business are not eligible.

West Dunbartonshire Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? Funding up to 50% of the trainer’s fees is available and all types of training will be considered on condition that it provides skills that will demonstrably improve the company competitiveness. Businesses must be operating from premises within West Dunbartonshire.

East Dunbartonshire Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? Employ less than 250 people worldwide (including holding companies and subsidiaries). Larger businesses may qualify for support when group training programmes are undertaken. All types of training will be considered, providing it is aimed at improving the business performance of the applicant. It should have a measurable impact on

  • turnover
  • efficiency
  • profitability
  • level of export

Training should last for at least a minimum of 40 hours although shorter training programmes may be considered. Grants of up to 50% will be awarded subject to all terms and conditions being met.

North Lanarkshire Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? This is grant of up to 50% of total training costs, up to a maximum of £3,000, towards the engagement of an external training consultant.

South Lanarkshire Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? This is grant of up to 50% of total training costs, up to a maximum of £3,000, towards the engagement of an external training consultant.

Renfrewshire Council: Business Training Grant

Who is eligible? The business must have a permanent base in the Renfrewshire council area and employ fewer than 250 employees (including employees of any parent company). The business must be engaged in manufacturing or business-to-business services. (Those providing a business service must be able to show that at least 30% of turnover is from outwith Renfrewshire). The training should relate to a specific business development objective rather than routine training.

Who is not eligible? Retail businesses and businesses providing a service to the general public do not qualify for support. Support cannot be provided for training required to meet legislation (eg health and safety). Training which has already started does not qualify for support.

Inverclyde Council: Business Training Grant

Who is Eligible? Business Training Support of up to 50% of total costs to a maximum of £2,000 for training for business development which will have potential to improve the business turnover / profitability or employment. Training should be aimed at management and key workers and have a notional competency threshold of around VQ Level 3.

Who is not eligible? Training that is a statutory requirement or mandatory, cannot be funded through this grant.
